Holiday Season Readiness

Holiday Season Readiness

Merry Hallow… Cheery Thanks… Happy Chris…. wait, what month is it???

If you’re anything like me, summer was weird, fun, quiet, really long, and over in the blink of an eye all at the same time. I’ll say it again for the hundredth time (today)… what a crazy year!

We are getting into Fall routines at my house, and with that begins the seemingly never ending planning for the “holiday season” that starts in October with Halloween and flows right into Thanksgiving and Christmas. This year has a unique set of challenges as we try to connect with friends and family while staying distanced.

I created an unprecedented number of personalized gift orders this summer for weddings, anniversaries, new homes, and birthdays. While the holidays aren’t necessarily full of those big life events, I think many of us are looking for ways to show people how much we care. Please note I will be closing all made to order and personalization options on November 8th, so if you are looking for something extra special for the holidays please ensure you order it before November 8th to avoid disappointment.

It’s more difficult now to find great, special gifts with artisan markets and craft fairs cancelled this year, so to help with that I’ve launched Holiday Preorder products - serving boards, serving trays, coasters and ornaments - to help with your gift list. Holiday Preorders are available only until November 8.

Preorders work like this - you order now, cross something off your to-do list, and I’ll create and ship your purchase to arrive before December 25th. Local orders will be ready for pick up starting December 1st.

Why preorder? It eliminates having to keep checking back to the website for new stock (if you shopped my website, you know products can sell out quickly after a restock), or trying to time your purchase to be delivered in December. Every December we see longer than normal delivery times and this year delays are likely longer than ever. Canada Post has already increased expected delivery times, and USPS just announced holiday surcharges for the first time ever to help cope with expected volume.

If preorders don’t sound like a good fit for you, don’t worry, I will be updating the website with immediately available stock regularly so you can still shop that way too.

Cheers,

Jocelyn
